I just set up a search engine in Google Chrome 57.0.2987.133 and thought it was worth sharing the steps:
- Right-click the address bar and select "Edit search engines".
 - Scroll to the very bottom of the list until you see this:
 - Add a friendly name - I chose Autodesk Inventor API Search, and a shortcut (This has to be unique!) I used "AIV", and then the crucial bit: http://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2018/ENU/?query=%s&cg=Developer%27s%20Documentation
 
Once this is done, you can search the Autodesk Inventor API without needing a shortcut to the API help documentation like so:
