ilogic Configurator for Model eventually to configure Drawing.

Hello all,

Currently making an ilogic configurator to use on Models specifically assemblies. Currently

just working on one assembly configurator at the moment. With that said, I have a small idea of what the next steps would be to bring over a model to a drawing as the company I work for has a drawing package.

I am curious about how I can or should tie an assembly over to a drawing package in order to minimize or eliminate mundane tasks for Mech Engineers?

What would a good solid recommended way be of doing this to connect an assembly configured by a configurator to then be tied in to a drawing package.

I know this might be vague and to anyone asking for more detail please do, because context matters.

As a new forum member I'm excited to be here and to learn from you all.  🙂

Maybe create a multi-sheet drawing with for example:

Sheet 1 the assembly and the built up "Arrangement"

Sheet 2 and further the piece parts mono drawings.

Use this complete as a template (Assembly, Parts, drawings).

Use Copy Design for creating variants/versions of this design.

I would use update model reference in existing assembly drawing functionality togheter with re-scaling of views.

Drawing must be prepared correctly - fully consterained section lines attached to valid geometry, the same - attached detail views, good views and dimmensions arrangement to minimalize user work, connected with drawing checker to inform user if any error occured.
