Attach sketched symbol to end of centerline

I've noticed that there is a post on how to attach a sketched symbol with a leader to drawing geometry.

But how can you attached a sketched symbol that does not have a leader?

I'm using vb.net

The method of placement is:

SketchedSymbols.Add( SketchedSymbolDefinition As Variant, Position As Point2d, [Rotation] As Double, [Scale] As Double, [PromptStrings] As Variant ) As SketchedSymbol

In my use, I've found the sketched symbol is placed at point2d at the center of the symbol. The only way to get around this is to move the center of the symbol by drawing some invisble circles or something.

You could use AddWithLeader and then turn off the leader line.

Also, you are much better to add it with the leader to the object you want to attach it to, then turn off the line - this way it actually is connected to the object.

Otherwise, using API, the symbol won't actually be attached to anything and wont move with the geometry.
