When selecting a dimension from the annotate tab in 3D, the geometry associated with the dimension is highlighted. In the drawing and in the sketches, there is no highlighting of the geometry. When retrieving a file made by someone else, with many dimensions very close together with angles and small radii, it is not easy to find at which key point the dimension is hooked. It would be handy if the geometry was highlighted when selecting any type of dimension. Show More

Lock/Unlock Multiple View Representations  I frequently need to lock and unlock multiple view representations. As it is currently, I have to right click on each view rep and lock or unlock them one at a time. Please update Inventor to have this behavior: 1) The “Open” window keeps the directory to the last open folder, It is good. In AutoCAD Mechanical, it keeps the windows scroll bar position to the last open File. Please make the same in Inventor: keep the windows scroll bar position to the last open File. Having opened a several files (say drawings), I check them at the closure. Mostly, no comments entered. When we use the command Break link, the link between the derived feature and the derived part is lost forever. So, can we have the possibility to rename if from the tree browser? When we are making a presentation IPN file, there are often items we need to turn the visibility off for.  If we RMB on the actual item in the model window, we get a popup menu and it highlights the item in the model tree.  When we do this, toggling visibility is *NOT* an option.  BUT, if we RMB over the highlighted item in the model tree, we get a very similar popup menu BUT visibility *IS* an option.  Why the heck would you not have visibility be an option in the popup menu over an item in the model window?  Kind of crazy to have to pick an item in the model window, then scroll thru the model tree to find it, so you can get the option to turn visibility on or off.   This is a video clip showing the different popup menus. https://app.screencast.com/ncIkGLWulvj8U   Show More

Retrieving model annotations in a drawing is a handy way to quickly populate my drawing. And so it is quite annoying if I cannot do this for all model dimensions: When calling the dimensions for hole features I will only get one dimension per hole, usually the one on which is the first in the hole dialogue. That leaves me stuck when I have sunk and countersunk holes. Please make it possible to retrieve all dimensions for a hole feature! Can i default the Flatpattern - Punch representation - check box - Ignore Individual Punch Representation Settings.  I cant seem to get this to default on all flat patterns i create. Hello. It would be great to have the ability to automatically create "Project Geometry" line (curve) with mouse click in "Assembly" (also "Machining"). In assemblies I often use circular patterns with 3 or 6 elements rotated by 120° or 60° and I always need to change the standard pattern. If the dialogue could remember the last setting, then that would save quite a lot of time.   It may be worth considering limiting the retainable number of elements to a small two-digit number (16?) in order to avoid long loading times.   (An alternative would be a function to set my own new standard pattern.)
