Hello everyone, I am looking for a way to unfold a specific part. I know it is doable in real life, so I assume Inventor is able to do it too, but I can't seem to find a way to make it work. Please help.
I tried making an unfolded profile of the part, then adjusting the bend radius to .001 so it would make a .001 inside radius and then a .002 outside radius, but it doesn't work like that according to Inventor logic, it makes it .751, so then I tried manual radius of .001 and .002, still wont work. Then I tried drawing lines on a back face and use the unfold function... still not working. And yes, I used the offset function with a .001 offset to make sure the part wouldn't "break" from what I know of Inventor's behaviour. I tried various offsets and radii too, like .100 offsets with adjusted radius, still wouldn't work.
I would appreciate if somebody could link me a file that works.

Are you trying to make a v-groove bend?
Inventor's sheetmetal is limited to parts with uniform thickness.
You might try some of the workarounds in the following posts

In this version, which I proposed and used, it is not necessary to imitate a V-shaped groove, it is only necessary to draw the shape of the groove with the shape of the correct - a blunt cutter. Use the bent part in the assembly, and a copy with the suppressed bend for drawings and for transfer to the CNS

You are using a newer version than me so unfortunately I can't look at your steps properly, but I should be able to replicate it pretty easily. I didn't know there was yet another bend function like this (that's like the 3rd or something Inventor has !)
Thank you very much!

for 2016 I have no opportunity to make a sample. If you do not get what you want yourself. Write I'll make at least a video

Would 2019 be better? I could read that version,
