Why cant I dimension the chamfer on this drawing and how can I dimension this tire pattern?

When I try to chamfer this edge.

It won't let me pick another edge to complete the dimension. Its the only dimension that's missing but also the tire pattern itself. I have no idea how to dimension tire patterns since the pattern is not "flatted".

Because it is not a chamfer I assume. it is only an angle!

It is chamfer with an angle of 45 degrees.

you need to see the chamfer from side-view not from top in a drawing!

I forgot to ask, do you have any suggestions on how I could dimension the tire pattern? I have no idea how to do it since its not a flat pattern.

You mean this pattern?

To my opinion this is not needed because of symmetry like flanges.

Otherwise I would indicate an angle between them.

Or I would export the pattern parameter and indicate it with 7x.
