Rename issue

Hopefully this is easy enough for someone but it's driving me round the bend.

I've renamed a part in Vault but when I open it the old name appears in the assembly browser and the part when I open it in Inventor.

Anyone have any idea why this is?

Slow double click on the name, or click the name and hit F2, then delete the name and hit ENTER.
Does that fix it?

The "Display Name" can be different then the "File  Name" in the Browser.

Also it is possible that the "Part Number" is shown in the browser and not the filename.

Have you updated the Part Number on Rename in Vault?

There is also an rename "Browser Nodes" in the "Assembly Tools" in the Inventor Ribbon!

@spl1970

Firstly, make sure you have chosen the "Update Part Number" as "Yes" while renaming it in the vault.

e.g.

Secondly,  you may rename it as you wish from "Rename Browser nodes"

I hope this would solve your issue.

I have a question !

P52bb505_0-1640098159897.png

When I rename this node , where is that text saved in background, what is the name of that text parameter.
So when i click rename browser nodes, if I choose part nubmer, it works , if I choose default, it uses some old numbers, that have been changed before.
So when i choose default in Rename browser nodes, where is that default parameter placed..

Is this a content centre part? If it is it's in the family table and you need to change it there.

Ok in this picture it is from CC, but I ask for normal parts , that occurs per exapmle 10 times in 1 assy, and I edit those browser nodes , and give a different name to those instances, and questions is where is that new node text saved, what is that text parameter called , where it is located.
