What I can remember but not find anymore is the following.

I have for example 4 the same holes in a part not created with a pattern.

Now I can remember that if that part is used in a assembly I could still place bolts and let the 4 holes create the additional 3 bolts in place of that holes.

It has been a while, but I remember having to select each hole individually if the holes were not created using the Pattern command.  That would probably have been in IV2021, so I don't know if that has changed since then.

This works with the bolted joint generator or insert from CC.

These commands recognize the hole modeling operation (for multiple points simultaneously).

Can you record your workflow to demonstrate the problem?

Hi! The auto-populating workflow is available in iMate. If you added iMate (Insert) to each hole in the part, when placing the bolt, the bolts will be automatically inserted to the holes.

When placing fasteners from the Content Center, AutoDrop may be turned on or off.  If AutoDrop is turned on, Place from Content Center will attempt to select the correct bolt (for example) size for the selected hole; it will also identify all identical holes on the same face.  You then have a pull glyph to use for graphically setting the length of the bolt from among the lengths specified in the CC table.  Finishing the command places the chosen bolt in all the identified holes.  Note, though, that they are not related in any way as they would be with a component pattern.  Each is an individual instance.
