Open dialog box

Is it possible to customize the tool tip you get when you hover your mouse over a file in the file open dialog box?

I would like to add a note or two so we don't have to actually open the model to see if it is obsolete. I can use the open fields if needed since we don't populate them all.

Can't be customized as far as I know.. (if it is its buried in the registry and I would not suggest messing with that)

But you can simply use any of the fields that do show up and just put "Obsolete" in them.. Maybe the stock number or whatever..

can you add to the design state drop down under properties?

Add obsolete here then turn on in infotip

Yes... Look at the link Niels posted.. Thats your solution..

Its got all the information you need..

Open that xml file in notepad and find this..

<Property id="40" name="Design State" exclude="yes"/>

and change it to this..

<Property id="40" name="Design State" exclude="no"/>

Then save the file..

Windows 10 does not need to restart

I know I can turn it on according to Niels. Can I add to the 3 choices in the drop down (Work in Progress,

Pending and Released)? Can I add 'Obsolete to this list?

I don't think those can be changed/modified..

Are you using "vault"?

I think you are going to have to find a different place to put obsolete then..

Plenty of other iprops to use..
