Odd Right Click Behavior

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing an issue with right click context menus?  Sometimes, not all the time, when I right click on a part in the browser the menu comes up and the item the cursor is on gets a left click as the right mouse button lifts...  I'm not sure if I have a mouse issue or an Inventor issue.  I can't make the mouse do that in any other program but it's possible that's because other software pops the menu to the side of the cursor instead of under it.  I have undocked the browser and I use it in a second screen normally.  To record the screencast I dragged it back over the main Inventor window.  I got the right then left click action a couple times and then it acted like it was clicking in the graphics window instead of the browser.  Is undocking the browser a bit buggy?  I'll attach a screencast showing the issue and I'll quickly duck into Call of Duty to see if my gun fires when I raise the scope....

Thanks,

Randy Martens

No impact after toggling the marking menu off a few different ways. About 50% of the time, the right-click release immediately registers as a selection. The other half of the time it is unclear if there simply was no valid selection under the cursor.

It sounds like Inventor takes control of right-click handling for features like the marking menu. It's possible my setup is forcing a built in drag distance or delay timer to be way too short. There doesn't appear to be any option to remove or configure this right-click behavior.

Some More Info:

Win 11

Legion 5 15ARP8 Laptop

My monitor setup and resolution is a bit complex, monitor 3 is running some sort of upscaling that appears to affect the ui scale on occasion. This issue may have surfaced during swapping back and forth between laptop screen and multi-screen layouts.

Hi! Please make sure the display hosting Inventor is the main display.

Many thanks!

Hi Guys,

I haven't noticed this issue in 2027 yet but it might just be my clicking slowing down a bit these days.  When I originally had the issue it was tied to how quickly I pressed and released the right click button.  If I click slllloooowwwlllyyy, like cliiiiick, everything worked correctly.  If I clicked super fast (like I normally did when flying on a project) I'd see the context menu pop and whatever the cursor was over would be selected without me ever left clicking.  A fix was issued by Autodesk and the problem went away.  Just some background in case I didn't already comment here.

Thanks,

Randy
