If you look at the recommended system specs from the Autodesk website, 2013 was the last year that XP was supported.  It is not listed in the 2014 specs.  My guess is it might load and might run, but it would be dog slow.

here is the unsupported method

Open Setup.ini, find "Custom Callback" group near the top and remove the "XP_64;" then save the file and proceed with installation.

not guranteed to work, may cause stability issues

Our vault server is on a machine running XP- which means I can't upgrade Vault, so I can't move to Inventor 2014 either. Darren, will your fix work for installing Vault server as well?

Fair enough! Not sure I want to take that risk with the Vault server- not particularly looking forward to telling my boss we need a new server either though... 😉

Thanks for the reply

i looked through a vault pro 2014 setup.ini and i don't see this line in there

this won't work with vault pro 2014

this may work if your installing Vault from the Product Design suite 2014 this line is in the setup.ini

but not guranteed
