iLogic window lost

For whatever reason my iLogic browser pane has vanished.

I've have never had dual screens, I've already tried deleting the registry entry (as per http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5497535) and using the inventor reset utility. No luck, and there is no check box under view/user interface for ilogic anymore.

I've used every version of Inventor from 2013 to 2018, and they only seem to get more and more unreliable.

Can anyone offer any other methods of resolving this?

Ta,

Tools > Options > Add-ins.

Ensure the boxes are checked/unchecked correctly to ensure the add-in is loaded, and that it loads automatically.

The load/unload box is greyed out as checked.

All I can do here is check/uncheck the load automatically box.

click on "Ilogic Browser"

Hello @Nsteel

Does the method in my screencast allow you to get your iLogic browser back?

Thomas.

Hi! I guess you may want to try using Inventor Reset Utility (All Programs -> Autodesk -> Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018 -> Tools -> Inventor Reset Utility).

Many thanks!

@Thomas_Savage  thanks for taking the time to do that, unfortunately it doesn't help, the button does not do anything.

@johnsonshiue as per my first post, I've already tried that.

Could it be it is simple just of your screen?
Turn off the iLogic menu, turn it on and then use "alt" "space" and choose m for move.

Hello,

As @Rob67ert said, it is just off the screen?

I was thinking this, as that is why the iLogic browser button is doing nothing, because it is already there, just where you can't see it.

Thomas.

@Rob67ert

I can see where you were going with this, unfortunately this does not work, it keeps selecting the main inventor window, I'm putting this down to the ilogic browser being a pane in Inventor rather than a pop up window.

 Thanks for the suggestions though.

If you click on the plus sign to show tabs on your browser do you get the iLogic option?  If not then it is definitely coming up off the screen and it does not behave like other windows with the Alt+Space+M command.  I thought that you used to be able to click on the iLogic Browser button and it would hide the browser, but it doesn't do that in 2018.  I only mention this because if you could hide the browser then it would appear when you click the plus sign on the browser tabs.

iLogic does not appear in the drop down when I click the + sign.

I wrote this snippet of code to see if I could find and manipulate the ilogic window via an Add-in, but it does not find it either;

Dim oDoc As Document
        oDoc = InvApp.ActiveDocument

        Dim oPane As BrowserPane
        Dim oPanes As BrowserPanes
        oPanes = oDoc.BrowserPanes

        For Each oPane In oPanes
            MsgBox(oPane.Name)
        Next

Do you have the ability to connect a second monitor temporarily to see if the iLogic browser appears and move it to the main monitor?

Hello @Nsteel something similar happened a while ago but that was the ribbon bar, not the iLogic window. Does this link help?

@Nsteel did you find the window? Was the ribbon reset shown in the screencast link helpful?

Can you post a screenshot of your full Inventor window to see what the behavior looks like?

Hi. Sorry, I’ve not been in the office to test out the multi screen thing.
What I did notice (for what it’s worth) is that when starting inventor as it boots the illogic window appears in the top left corner of the window but is not selectable.
I will pester the it dept to lend me a monitor next week.

@Nsteel hit Ctrl + PrintScreen and paste Ctrl+V into a paint document and post the screenshot back here.

What you are explaining is hard to visualize as it is not normal. If you can share what you are seeing we can help.

Go figure,

I come back in after the weekend, start up inventor and there's the ilogic window back as if nothing happened.

have restarted the machine several times over the last week so don't know why it suddenly decided to start behaving now.

I kow this isn't much of a soluction, but big thanks to everyone for their help.

Having had this little battle myself on why the iLogic option is completely disappearing from my ribbon bar...

I have discovered that if you're using a Windows File browser and double click on an Inventor file to open it, then opening the file in that method makes the iLogic floating menu AND ribbon bar option disappear from Inventor.
