Thanks in advance for any responses

Maybe "enhanced highlighting" is not enabled?
Application options > Colors tab.
Awesome assembly btw.

Hi Niels,
Enhanced highlighting is enabled.
Hi Niels,
Enhanced highlighting is enabled.
hi
I believe the behavior has changed in the last versions.
You can ask to change this in the "Inventor Ideas forum". If the idea gets enough votes, they probably change it back.

@CCarreiras are you sure? It seems to be working for me (IV2023.2):

@CCarreiras and @-niels- I figured it out! It was an easier fix than i anticipated.
Its all about the "scheme", it has to be the "presentation" scheme:
Thanks anyways!

Intriguing... i use the "forest" theme...
I didn't check them all, but i can confirm that it doesn't work for me either when i use the "light" theme.
@johnsonshiue is this a known thing?

HI!
For me works in almost every scheme (tried in a couple, not all), except the default (Winter night).... 🤣
This version 23 is all messed up... 😖
...Anyway, it would be nice to have both options in all layouts schemes!!!

Hi Niels,
Indeed, there seem to be significant difference between Light theme and Dark theme in terms of selection highlight. I am sorry I don't have a good explanation. The combination of effects is very hard to understand. I guess there are choices for users to try and find the suitable one.
Many thanks!
