A simple one (hopefully). When working on a drawing, if I want to project the edges of a model in a sketch, the lines are a yellow colour.
This is not very helpful as the background is off-white which makes the lines very hard to see!
How can i change the colour of projected lines?

Any chance of adding sketch under the drafting part of this editor? Or a way to mimic the sketch colors from the design portion?
Hi Andrew,
For 2022 and 2023 due to UI freeze, there is no plan to add the control there. As @DRudaz has found out earlier, you may change the "Light" color scheme -> Sketch -> Reference -> from yellow to something darker.
The control will be added to the new release.
Many thanks!
This has been implemented within Autodesk Inventor 2024. Please review the Inventor 2024 What's New article here. For more information regarding how you may leverage the feature, and please review this page. Thanks!
Hi
Just rebuilt my PC and did a Vanilla install.
Unfortunately, this has not been fixed in 2024, sorry guys.
MY MISTAKE,
I did not see the new Customise option.
Apologies for the false alarm.
2024.1 Build 209
UI Theme: Dark mode
Canvas colour Scheme: Winter day
Hi! Just to reiterate the workaround for 2023, you may go to Tools -> App Options -> Colors -> Customize Scheme -> select "Light" -> Sketch -> Reference Curve -> change the yellow to something darker.
Many thanks!
The problems resides in the fact Inventor 2023 always refears to the color scheme named "Light".
The only way I've found to revert the color scheme to what I used to use is:
installing an Inventor 2021, getting the color scheme from there, noting down all the RGB numbers (for every single fuc*ing colour) related to that colour I need... setting these old colour (RGB number) in the "Light" colour scheme in Inventor 2023.
Kind of tricky, but it works...
Hi
You did not need to downgrade the Inventor version to get the colour scheme codes, other than that, the painful process of transferring the RGB codes is correct. The codes for the respective schemes were always there, the issue was that the selected theme was not honored, and it defaulted to "Light"
Hi! I thought my reply (#45) would have resolved the issue on 2023. Is it not true?
Many thanks!
