Change projected line colour - drawing sketch

A simple one (hopefully). When working on a drawing, if I want to project the edges of a model in a sketch, the lines are a yellow colour.

This is not very helpful as the background is off-white which makes the lines very hard to see!

How can i change the colour of projected lines?

Hi @bengee5454

The color of this line is linked to your application settings / colors.

Just change the colors model here :

And if you really want to create your own Color Scheme, install the usertools from the

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2018\SDK folder

and after that run the InventorColorSchemeEditor application from the

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2018\SDK\UserTools\ColorSchemeEditor\Bin folder

Have you manually changed the color of the line ?

The color of your line is set to "by layer" ?

If you change the colors model in application settings, the default colors of projected lines must change.

That is really strange, I can't figure out how this happen.

Can you share an example of your files ?

Perhaps someone else will find an issue.

Can you post screen shot of your Application Options settings for Drafting?

(I show arrow to the Design Color Scheme in this image, but I am interested in the Drafting environment.)

Your drawing is not an issue. Works fine in Inventor 2017.3

Hi

This seems to work prior to Inventor 2022, but could you try this in IV 2022. I have millenium background as choice for Design display., when creating a sketch in a drawing, lines still remain yellow, even when other color schemes are used.

Hi,

For me this is a bug of version 2022 because on previous versions it worked. Normally it is the color of the reference curve that manages this color in the color scheme.

I have found a workaround to this problem. After having projected the geometry I select all the elements and I go to Format and I change the color of according "to layer" to the color of my choice. Or you can make this operation before project the gemetry.

Hi Folks,

I am sorry I am a bit confused here. The In-Canvas Color Scheme has pre-defined object colors. You can change it in the Color Scheme editor to persist. Is it not working? I am not sure why you need to change the sketch curves color format.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Quite simply because the lines in yellow are not visible correctly. And in version 2022 we cannot change it.

Hi Dominique,

If possible, do you mind sharing a video or screencast showing the behavior? I am not able to reproduce it on my machine. Please make sure graphics driver is updated and all critical Windows updates are installed.

Many thanks!

Hi Dominique,

Many thanks for sharing the video! I got better understanding now. It is about the drawing sketch line color. It does look like a bug. I will work with the project team to understand it better.

Thanks again!

Hi Johnson, is there an ETA on when this bug fix will be available? I've just stumbled across this issue myself.
