CAM KEYS LOCKED?

My inventor is not working correctly as when i open the model, i am not able to do anything with it using the CAM software all the keys are locked except the Tool library. I am using the trial software. maybe im loading the model wrong? i can sketch on top of the model but nothing with CAM not even a Datum point. PLEASE HELP!

Hi! Inventor treats most CAD files the same. To avoid confusion, you may want to rename the STEP file. Otherwise, when you open the STEP and the part at the same time, it can be confusing what Inventor opens and what you are editing.
