Computer Shuts off During Rendering

Hi guys,

For the last little while, I've been rendering (sometimes simple, sometimes complex) parts and assemblies. I've rendered some of these assemblies previously without any issues, but now my CPU maxes out and the computer shuts down.

Any idea what could be going on?

Hi,

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700HQ @2.80GHz

RAM: 16GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

I should add that I noticed my CPU maxing out at 100% and the computer shutting down after a certain time. I resorted to cutting down my maximum CPU speed to 90% and the issue hasn't come back but renderings are much slower.

What driver are you using?

I would try the following:

Is this a large assembly? 

I would keep it lower ... never want to max anything out ..

I'm downloading the driver now and will give it a shot. Not very large, I've rendered much bigger.

this is more of a computer issue than inventor

most likely your computer is overheating

check the temps of cpu & check all internal fans, blow out any dust that may be inside the computer
