Autodesk Inventor shows file name or extension is too long

Hello,

Autodesk Inventor shows file name or extension is too long on regular basis.

Don't know what is the exact problem.

I have attached screenshot for reference.

Can any one guide me.

 I went and read every comment again and notice no one mention the OS..

Is everyone with this issue on Windows 7 Pro ?

Found a few thing that may help you avoid losing stuff till Autodesk figures this out.

I noticed I lost thumbnails and when that happens it is only a few clicks away from this error.

I decided to check a few things to try and pin point this and noticed something strange. When I lost the thumbnails I did a right click to see the list and noticed Windows lost what I would say communication with Inventor files.

Notice in the picture below I have nothing in the right click menu.

Now this is what I have after rebooting machine.

Notice how I have communication with Inventor files again.

I did not wait for the error so I could do the screen shots but next time I will and see what triggers a full blown .exe error.

This is getting old fast, My phone is ringing off the hook on this.

Can you share it the assembly?

Is it only on that one assembly or any file on that PC?

Any Inventor file.

I also noticed when error comes inventor thumbnail changes its icon.

Have you find anything workaround to avoid this error. ?

 I have nothing yet, but did do it yesterday.

I repeated what I did to see if it was the missing link we needed but did not happen.

We've addressed an issue which sounds to be related to this this for 2019.2. We plan to provide a Release Candidate build early next week for testing via the Inventor Feedback/Beta project. That RC build will be supported for production use until the final build is released in early November.

 I was told a patch is coming to fix this issue, sometime in November maybe earlier.
