Set number of parts as parameter and make assembly automatic

Dear CAD  users,

I am a student which is learning to use Inventor, I am fascinated by its parameter design functionality. I would like to ask you a question. Let us  suppose I have a body which is a sampling of many (57) equal parts, regularly alternated.

Of course I could do an assembly where I just past all these parts and connect them together, However, if I need to change the numbers of parts from 57 to 49, I need to remove the parts one by one. As you imagine, this becomes troublesome as larger as the number of parts grows. Is possible to set the number of parts as a parameter, and  then let the program meld them itself (for example, when I connect the first pair)?

Thank for your attention,

Antonio
