Greetings.
Im trying to install AutoCAD 2018 on my PC (Windows 10, x64, Net Framework 4.6.1, etc...)
I have already tried to deactivate Windows Defender to install the program
I can't run AutoCAD Self Extract.
It opens, however the app suddenly closes without filling anything of the progress bar
I have already tried to solve this issue seeking information at "google".
Please, if anyone knows how to solve this it would be great.
Thanks
Gian

I also was facing the same issue in my computer and than I realize its not an issue of the extractor the issue is windows is not able to verify the certificate of the extractor just try to install verisign universal root certificate in trusted root certification authorities it will work for sure...
2017 and earlier products use a different certificate that Windows 7 already contains so the files will extract successfully.
How to Verify if you have the issue on your machine
Click 'Start' and type certmgr.msc in the Search Programs and Files field and hit Enter.
Expand Certificates and expand Trusted Root Certification Authorities item
Select 'Certificates'
Look for VeriSign Universal Root Certification Authority
If the certificate is available there and is valid, the file extraction and product installation will complete successfully
Solution
The certificate (Root 10) can be downloaded directly from VeriSign's certificate page on their website:
Here is what helped me, just run Command Prompt as an Administrator and paste the code below.
regsvr32 c:\windows\SysWOW64\wintrust.dll
I discovered this method while solving NVIDIA GeForce Experience problem and it worked.
In my case the installer was split in 6 parts so I had to rename all of them like:
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_001_006.sfx.exe > r_001_006.exe"
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_002_006.sfx.exe > r_002_006.exe"
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_003_006.sfx.exe > r_003_006.exe"
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_004_006.sfx.exe > r_004_006.exe"
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_005_006.sfx.exe > r_005_006.exe"
Revit_2021_G1_Win_64bit_dlm_006_006.sfx.exe > r_006_006.exe"
then double click the first part to extract the others.
AutoCAD_2022_English_Win_64bit_dlm.sfx.exe. Tried all the above suggestions: used d:\, renamed, etc. Nothing works on two separate computers (W10). Downloaded the file from AutoDesk three times..all fail.
Suggestions?
Hi!
here is how I solöved this issue:
_ make sure your OS is updated to latest available version
- make sure you have a Admin account & Read/Write rights
- RMC the file/Run as Administrator
- after extracting, move the folder in question to C:\Autodesk
This is valid for ANY Autodesk !
Hope this helps others!
