Uninstall reinstall of autodesk desktop licensing service reset my profile settings to factory, how do I restore?

I tried installing Autocad 2024 and it failed with error 1603. Suggested fix was to uninstall and reinstall autodesk desktop licensing service. To make this situation worse, now my Autocad 2023 profile was wiped back to factory settings (no I did not create a backup, and yes I do know that the failed 2024 installation was not the cause). How do I restore my settings?

My guess is that the service likely didn't back up itself either.  Have you considered a Windows system restore back before you did the uninstall?  You might get lucky with that.  But I wouldn't hold your breath.

System restore if possible 

 

or you're going to have to recreate them.

 

Best to always keep a copy on a network / 2nd drive / 2nd location ..

New computer; and system restore was not considered. Having to restore my settings manually with each release of Autocad.

Unless you have a system backup to another drive or PC or server/Service location somewhere, that is no longer an option.
