Problems with packing/installation of AutoCAD Map3D and Civil3D 2024

Hello

Our users do not have local admin on their PC.
Therefor most software are packed and distributed by the user from the Company Portal on users PC.

We pack Autodesk every autumn to be ready with the latest version by the end of the year.
In 2022 and 2023 this was successful, but this year AutoCAD Map3D and Civil3D 2024 has given us some problems.
To start with I would like to show the software and versions that is downloaded and used for the 2024 packing.

AutoCAD Map3D 2024:

Packaging/installation order:

1.Create_Installer_MAP_2024_English_WIN64.exe

  1. \2024.0.1\AutoCAD_2024.0.1_Update.exe
  2. \2024.0.1\AutoCAD_Map_3D_2024.0.1_Update.exe
  3. \2024.0.1\AdskLicensing-installer.exe

Map 3D and default settings for different path location:

See attachment 'Map 3D settings.docx'

AutoCAD Civil 2024:

Packaging/installation order:

1.Create_Installer_CIV3D_2024_English_WIN64.exe

  1. \2024.1\AutoCAD_2024.1_Update.exe
  2. \2024.1\C3D_2024_1_Update
  3. \2024.1\AdskLicensing-installer.exe

Default settings for different path location:

See attachment 'Civil 3D settings.docx'

We receive error-messages like these during installation from the Company Portal.

The installation continue, but after installation is done and we try to start the application,
we receive the following error message:

After some seconds this message:

We have tested with 3-4 different PC’s and same errors.
All test users have AEC license or Tokens from the Autodesk admin portal.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since the users has very limited permissions on the machines, they cannot install anything themselves. We find that on machines where 2023 versions are installed, they get an activation error after the 2024 version has been installed.

I have a suspicion that if there is an early release of the 2023 version installed on the machines, which has not been updated.

Did Autodesk launch new license components between the 2023 version and 2024?

Could it be that the new license components are included in the 2024 installation and overwrite the older existing ones. This results in the earlier realese of the 2023 products not being compatible with the new installed license components?

If that is the case, how can we accommodate this in the best possible way when we roll out the 2024 products?

Despite not having local admin rights (Bad idea in my opinion, but whatever) can you install this by right-clicking and run as administrator?  Also, do you get the Edge error if you set your default browser to something else, such as Chrome?
