Maya Installation Issues

So I was having some issues with my previous version on Maya 2015, so i decided to uninstall, and reinstall. When i tried to reinstall as maya 2016 it said it was already installed... which it wasn't, and then i tried maya 2015 and it installed fine, but when i go to actually find the program it's nowhere to be found!

I'm on Windows 10

Welcome to the community and hopefully my (or someone else) reply will be beneficially to you.

Not sure if you knew this or not, but this is a worldwide (public) user forum where users are assisting others. For future postings, do not include any personal information (such as your serial #) in any information that you share (include screen shots) with us.

Since you have Windows 10, use the Microsoft Cleanup Utility (link is my signature).  Then after you clean up your machine, review the information I have below the line/above my signature and follow those steps to download and install your application. Good luck.

Although its helpful to see your installation log and I thank you for doing so.   But the installation log file contains your serial # and you shouldn't post that type of information here since this is a world wide user forum.   I will have the moderator remove it in order to protect your information.  Its okay to post the installation log file but for the future make sure to wipe out the serial #.

It appears you're using the install now method..  Stop and review the information I have below the line/above my signature and follow those steps to download and install your application. Good luck with the installation.

The 1402 error is a side-effect of using the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility, usually.  See this KB on how to fix it:

You basically need to reclaim permissions for the registry keys that the installer needs to see.  Be persistent because sometimes it takes a few passes to get it.
