Location of files under profile of intaller

I've been testing the latest, 2024, release of Civil 3D. I don't have Admin privileges so I had to have IT install it.

One thing I noticed was that when I first started using the software was that it was trying to access files in the profile of the Admin who installed it. So I didn't have rights to them. I had to hunt them up elsewhere on my computer and copy them to my profile. Unfortunately I didn't keep a list of the files. 

This wasn't too difficult for me. But I'd like to avoid it happening to the rest of the users.

Since they can't do the install either. Is there a way, while creating the deployment or other, to make sure all necessary files are accessible to the users?

Autodesk products have always had a First Run problem when running as a user without local admin rights.  I wouldn't hold your breath on this getting fixed anytime soon, unfortunately.

I was wondering if the IT Admin didn't log into the computer but just ran the deployment as an Admin if that would make a difference.

Maybe I'll have them try that.

It might not be a bad idea, since it wouldn't create any local admin
profile files/links on first run.
