Deployment Vs Installation

Hello.

What is the difference between the two options of Deployment Vs Installation? When to use which?

Install means you want to install the application on this computer. 

Deployment means that you create an installation with an answer file and all of your settings, but it is created on a server and you use it to push out to all of your computers.

Hi Travis.
Thanks for the response. Just need a few clarifications:

1) Not sure if I understood what you meant by "installation with an answer".

2) So, deployment is only good if ALL stations must have the same programs and settings? (We have Autodesk Building Design Suite, but different level for different stations. Some for only one seat, some for multiple seats).

3) The push installation over network, to several stations... Does it have to be done at the same time?

"Installation with an answer file."

This means that all the install questions are already pre-answered.  You would just deploy to the workstations.  They do not all need to be deployed at once.  But if you have different settings, then you will need different deployments.
