Inability for Cam Tool Generation.

I am new to Fusion 360, utilising my free " Hobbyist " opportunity, can create basic files, but cannot create Toolpaths in  my CAM option. ???

How far into the process can you make it? Workflow:
1) Create Setup, define the part orientation with "Select Z and X axis", select the model you are going to be machining.

2) Select desired toolpath, select tool from library, set speeds, feeds and coolant.

3) Select contours to machine

4) Define any required parameters such as compensation type, stepover (if applicable) and lead-in settings

5) Simulate

6) Post process, selecting the correct post processor.

If you're still having issues, please share the file here so we may investigate.

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Thanks for your kind considerations.

Adopting a 2D Face Cut for simplicity, I can import my model, Complete my
Setup, select my tool, speeds , my Stock, My Heights etc. My problem seems
to be that nowhere through the process can I actually get an identifiable
tool path. If I try to post process, I keep getting a " No Tool path
created " message. ????

So, we're at the point now where we really need to see a Fusion file to see what's going wrong. Please export and share a sample file.

Again Many Thanks. Please understand and accept that I have no real
knowledge in understanding, nor how to properly utilise this great forum
experience, and can only keep trying.

On this basis I have exported ( I trust attached ) the requested CNC
test03v2.F3D in both my Local Folder, and my CNC Test Projects folders. (
Twice ).

Hope that this assists. ??

If you are trying to attach a file via email, it doesn't work like that. You will need to go to the forums and attach it there.

Ok , i seem to be in. and will try this.         Another issue that may help, is that i am going to set up another Computer from the workshop that might allow me to run Fusion 360 on XP, rather than this computer which is specifically Windows 7 , so that we can run older Machining Code for our Laser Printer.  Anyway, here goes.

Oh, if you're using Windows 7, that is the issue. Win7(and XP) are not supported operating systems for Fusion, you need to be at least on Windows 8, although Win 10 is preferred.

The reason for that is covered HERE

Thank you Seth for all of your efforts. I sort of understand, but find it
disappointing somewhat, as we are committed to the older 7 etc., as that is
what is specifically required to run the " older " Machines. Laser
Cutter etc. We will just have to work on our options. !!
