Cannot create any thread turning tool

Every time I try to create a thread turning tool, O.D. or I.D., the finished tool shows up in my library with yellow text and when I hover the mouse over the yellow text it says there is missing required data. I have changed every bit of info under every tab in the cutting tool setup page and always with the same result. I can copy the sample O.D. threading tool into another library and it will work, but if I go into the "edit tool" function, and make no changes at all, then click "accept" I end up with the same results. Also, when I go into the "cutting data" tab, I am only given the option for RPM, no SFM option.

Hi @slickiii<

I see the same behavior. But you can solve it to close the tool library and re-open it.

@jeff.pek, can you take a look at this?

Create a Threading Tool and it ends up Yellow (See below)

After close down the tool library and re-open it, the tool is Black again.

I gave it a try, but unfortunately no luck. I even tried closing fusion down and restarting, but I just cant seem to get past it.

Yes, I see the same thing. Not sure what it's complaining about. I've made sure the folks who work in this area are aware. I'd expect someone to reply with some more info soon.

Hi @ParhamsMachine,

Have you started the toollibrary directly, so not within a operation?

@jeff.pek, thanks for your replay. Like to hear back on when it’s been fixed.

Does this happen with the old Tool Library? You can turn off the new library in the Preferences > Preview Features

Shutting off the new tool library got it to work, thanks!

Hopefully they get that fixed in the new library too

@slickiii Sorry to here you are having issues with the threading tools in the tool library. If you cannot clear the warning by closing and re opening the library then please turn the old library on until we can fix it.

The dev team has picked this up and we will prioritise the bug.

Thanks

Chris

After closing and reopening the library, does the issue resolve itself? Does it persist through?
