Roughing Pass Gouges Part on Machine

I have a part that uses Adaptive Clearing to rough around the part. I have made 3 of these parts and the first one I made was fine. However I then made some minor changes to other parts of the model, updated Fusion to the August update and regenerated the toolpath. The toolpath looks fine in the simulation and looking at the toolpaths in Fusion. However my part now has a small false cut in it.

Below is an image of the part in the simulation. I've circled in red the are in question. It looks fine here. Looking at the toolpath there is nothing to suggest that it goes through the part either.

Now here is a picture of the part machined at the same operation with the same area circled in red. For scale the radius of the bosses sticking out is 11.5mm. I don't understand how the first part I made worked fine, and yet the next two have had a problem. I noticed it on the second part and refined the tolerance on the path before posting and checked the simulation. I'm a little stumped as to why this is happening. I can't share the file publicly but happy to send to an Autodesk employee if needed.

Do you have preserve rapids enabled or are you using hi feed moves in place of rapids? Is that maybe a dogleg move when it is changing areas?

Yes I ended up re-running the program and watching it. As you suggested it was a dog leg rapid. I thought it only did rapids in X & Y above the retraction plane but I'm still learning Fusion and am clearing mistaken.

I had it set to "Preserve rapid movement". I guess I need this to be set to high feedrate mode or single axis rapids. Luckily it is only the aesthetics of the part which has been harmed but still a bit disappointing.

Had a look through previous versions and looked like I tweaked a few settings after machining the first one to make it better... 😒

Good to hear. You can set [Use high Feed] and set it something very high, close to or at your machine max rapid feed rate but it will make point to point moves rather than the dogleg moves. As a warning at least in my experience at least tending to run a mill slow, the high feed moves get the ball screws screaming, though I do like the sound of it.
