Just got the update. Upon reopening I have NO FILES.

WHERE ARE MY FILES?

Refresh does nothing.

I am in the middle of a project and my teeth are grinding.

You mean your data panel is now showing any files?

Do they show up in the Dashboard in your browser?

Have you tried to sign out of Fusion 360 and sign back in?

I suggest this because at first my project avatars did not show up for me in the data panel after the update but after I signed out and back into Fusion 360 they showed up.

Have you tried going directly to the A360 site?  Can you see your data there?  If so, you can open it in Fusion 360 directly from there.

Hi,

Sorry you are seeing this issue. I know you mentioned that refresh does not help. Can you try this for me? Signout/close the application/ launch and try signin again? Does that help?

Fusion team, too much trouble this time!

Lot of people are annoyed,

I can understand very well that update is normal and it can improve the software, but as user with a business based on fusion360, any update will be a nightmare.

All people here hope you fixe ALL ASAP.

Today i have received lot of call for my customer "why my project is not ready yet"? Try to walk in my shoes (or in the shoes of people that have same problems)

Never give up!

We are wainting for a fast solutions!

From the dashboard what happens if you go to a design and click Open in Fusion at the top of the screen. I guess you've tried rebooting everything last time I had a problem like this rebooting my router fixed it, could have be a coincidence though.

Since you can see this in A360 - https://myhub.autodesk360.com/g/all_projects/active can you please try to open a design from there into Fusion? Click o na design in A360 - Goto the Pencil icon and select Open in Fusion. This should launch Fusion 360 and open the design. Does this sync the data panel?

Can everyone verify that they aren't looking in the My Recent Data Panel in the Data Panel in Fusion 360?

Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 11.53.34 AM.png

There  is a back "<" button that should get you to your list of projects.

Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 11.53.55 AM.png

If you're not seeing the right list of projects, it might help to verify that you're signing into Fusion 360 with the correct Autodesk Account.

If you browse to

Windows:

C:\users\***\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360

MacOS:

Mac HD\Users\***\Library\Application Support\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360

There will be a folder with a unique ID for each account that you log into Fusion 360 with. If you see multiple folders, it may be a good idea to sign out and sign back in and verify that you are using the correct information to log into Fusion 360 with.

I hope that helps. Looking forward to any updates or quesitons on this issue.

A couple of other thoughts.. sorry for the multiple posts.

Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 12.01.22 PM.png

Does searching in the data panel show the designs?

Is the project stored on a different hub?

Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 12.03.16 PM.png

In that unique ID folder I mentioned in my last post, there is a .dat file that stores information about the data panel. It might help to try and rebuild this using the instructions in the below solution article.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Dat...

Thanks,

AS for me I had nothing in either data panels AND also nothing showed up when working Offline.

I also did the sign in/out routine.

I also rebooted my computer and access system.

Nothing

I did manage to get them loaded from the site. Thanks Hughestooling

This has to be another great reason we need a standard windows file system where we can keep copies on own computer.

This cloud thing is shaky at best. It might be great for the 1% that works driving down the road. For the rest of us it leaves us with a sense of impending doom.

@Fueler Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the confusion, we are working hard to improve the experience. This issue here to my best estimation has something to do with data panel behavior and it would be really great to get to the bottom of it

The behavior reported in the thread is not the intended experience. I apologize for any inconveniences caused by this issue.

There are two things in the latest release that are intended to improve the data workflow experience.

  • Branching and Merging has been added
  • Offline Data Panel now shows project lists

If you haven't had a chance, they are discussed in further depth on the latest What's New blog post. Branching and Merging will be a very powerful way to explore and manage design variation/evolution on top of the existing version management tools provided by the loud. You'll also see we've published are next phases of improvement for the data experience on the blog post.

I note that you can always look in your locally cached files to see where the data is synced to

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

I note there are tools in place that allow you to create a local archive file in Fusion 360. You may want to check out this article on using Fusion offline.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/working-f...

One thing that is not clear to me in this case is if Projects are missing or if Designs are missing.

You are using past tense "had" in your last comment, does that mean the issue has resolved on its own? If not could you post some screenshots of the issue and the offline issue?

The diagnostic log files (see the help menu for the command) would also be great to take a look at.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps.

Thanks,

I took a look at the cache link.

What would you say if I found nothing that I saved while working offline in that w.login folder?

I just tried saving one while offline and took a look at that folder. Nope, nothing there.
