Revision Table?

I thought in an earlier version of Fusion there was the ability to add an empty table where I was able to manually add print revisions; however, now I am only seeing an option to add an auto-populated BOM table, even for a single part.

Is there an option to add a revision table with manual entries?

You can add a empty table and fill it in manually with information of your choosing but that is it.  Revision tables may be on the drawing roadmap for development, I cannot say.

I had thought that an empty table was possible in a prior version of Fusion, but I can not seem to find the proper way to do this with the latest revision; when I click on the 'TABLES' table, the only option I can see is for a Bill of Material table this is auto populated and not changeable.

In all fairness, a rev table, BOM table (cutting schedule), Are standard equipment on engineering drawings. I don't think it needs to be on a roadmap to implement basic functionality.

Hi @scott.nortman@jhackney1972 and @SpecialJ,

A little bit of good news, revision tables, as well as revision markers and clouds are coming. Here's a sneak peak. It's still very much in development so we don't have a release date yet, but it's scheduled for early next year.

And while I have your attention, quick question... when revising a multi-sheet drawing, are all sheets revised as a set (all sheets move from A to B to C at the same time), or is each sheet revised separately (sheet 2 moves from A to B to C, while sheet 1 remains at A)?

And regarding the roadmap, thats just our way of sharing with you all our plans for the coming months. Not every project is included, some do slip through without getting included. Revision management (tables, markers and clouds) is included and shown as in progress.

Hope this helps. Looking forward to hearing you thoughts on revising multi-sheet drawings.

Cheers, Andrew

BTW, if you take a closer look at the toolbar, you may see a few more features that are in the works

For a multi sheet print, I always keep all sheets at the same revision
level.

I agree with @scott.nortman , all sheets should carry the same revision level.  The other proposed additions look great as well!

Same here. Please roll all sheets at once, keeping the entire drawing at the same revision!

Also, please have the revision table snap to the corner of the drawing template. Right now it appears that there in no way to snap a table to the drawing template. Or am I missing something?

Hello @tien.tnEJZWK

I am Rohit Bapat, Product Owner for the team which is working on the Revision Management feature. The revision management feature is being worked upon actively and we are coming to the closure. Soon, it will come to validation phase. There are several new behaviours which will get introduced with this feature which also added some complexity under the hood. I know it's been a while since we are working on this feature. But, rest assured, we are actively working on this feature and soon it will be available for the customers.

Is there a possibility to add the revision table to the template?

Because at this moment I have to redo every revision table Text size and which columns to show or hide for every drawing. Also is there a way that the text height in the revision table can be set to 2.5 mm standard?

Now I do it manually, but when I add a new revision it automatically changes the text height of the new revision to 3.5 mm.

Hi @eric.meijer487FF

We do plan to add support for Rev Tables in templates. I've added it to the Public roadmap under “Management”.

The size of the test in the revision table comes from the text height group. Tables, Dimensions, and Notes all use the medium text height group, which by default is 3.5 mm, you could change this and set all Medium text to 2.5 mm if you'd like. Here's a bit more info on text height groups.

Has any progress been made on adding revision tables to templates? Do we have a timeline for its introduction?
