The Screencast below shows, that I could not create a technical drawing for the was working on, because it was showing an obsolete version of the drawing.

@AnthonyPlechacek drawings only work with components. you can convert the body to a component then it will work.

 

or start again using R U L E 1 save, name, start a component then make sure it's active.

@daniel_lyall While that did fix my issue, the error did not occur when I tried to roll the version back and create a drawing again. This leads me to believe that this is not the core issue, but rather something else. Also I didn't have this problem before when creating drawings from bodies.
