Over-constraint problem

Hi

I'm trying fusion 360 out and comming from solidworks background.

trying to do a sketch starting from freehand lines then adding dimensions to the drawing to size and define the sketch.

the sketch has hardly any dimensions, yet when I try and use the sketch dimension tool to define an angle it wont let me. I get a error that the sketch is over-defined.

Hello landslide1,

In your sketch you have 2 tangent constraints on 2 arcs with the same diameter (upper right fillet +- 0,6 mm radius).

After removing one of the segments and extending the other, ending up with the same geometry only now with 1 arc, the sketch is no longer fully constrained.

Not entirely sure why this happens.

I can replicate the same behavior. Can you confirm that once you convert those two arcs to one single tangent arc, the problem goes away?

thanks for the solution.

I removed one of the arc segments and dimentioned the other. then I added the second arc and dimensioned it and now I can continue defining the sketch.

I left 2 arcs as one was supposed to be 1mm and the second 0.5mm.
