Issue with modeling

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I am very new to Fusion.  As of right now, when I create a model, the model does not stay highlighted.  I have to hover over the model with the mouse to be able to see it.  Once the mouse is not hovering over the model, I can no longer see it.   Help! Please advise!

Hey There,

On the left-hand side of the user interface you'll see the Browser, an organized list of every object in your design. In the Browser, are both the Bodies folder and body itself set to visible? The yellow light-bulb indicates visibility. Below you'll find a screenshot that should show what I'm referring to!

When you say "hover over the model," are you talking about in the Browser, or in the 3D environment?

Hope that helps!

When I hover over the 3D model. I have the lightbulbs lit. So every time I
create a solid model, it doesn't actually seem like it's "solid". So if I
create an extruded rectangle, I can't see the model until I hover over the
model with my mouse. When I do that though, I only see each plane the
sketch was created on not the model. It seems like it's a setting issue?

I've seen cases where a material got corrupted or deleted and the model no longer showed up on screen even though the geometry was present. can you share the model with us? in the data panel on the left side find the model you're working on and right click to share a link here in the forum. or with the model open you can export to your desktop from the file menu drop down (upper left of window) and save as a Fusion Archive file, zip that file up and post it here. We'll take a look.

hope this helps,

If you are using Windows, setting the graphics driver to Direct X 9 may help.  To do this, go to the menu under your username, on the upper right side of the window, and select "Preferences".  Change the graphic driver from Direct X 11 to Direct X 9, close the application and relaunch.

Thank you,
