Output PDF crash

For several days now my Fusion has been unable to export drawing files as PDF. This is a workflow that I have performed countless times to communicate with vendors. Now I have made a very simple change to a part, updated the drawing, and every time I try to export the drawing as a PDF it either fails or my Fusion crashes outright. This is extremely frustrating! My supplier is waiting on me and I look like an idiot.

Hi @evan.bouchier,

There is a problem with creating PDF's on our Mac App Store version.  We are working on getting a fix ASAP, until then please read this thread for information on how to get the .com version of Fusion 360 from our website. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/drawing-will-not-make-pdf/td-p/6940657  This version does not have that issue.

Thanks,

Yes I found this and it's working, thanks for following up. Super frustrating to lose time to these glitches! But your product and platform are super compelling so I deal with it and trust that everything will continue to improve.

Hi @evan.bouchier,

I just wanted to give you an updates. Please see my post here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/pdf-output-on-mac-app-store-is-quot-fixed-qu... .  We have a temporary fix in place which requires that you output to the Downloads folder and will have the complete fix in April.

Thank you,

I had never had a Drawing to PDF output issue until today where I can describe a scenario very similar to Mr. Bouchier <@evan.bouchier> .  I have two different assemblies which once I've exported the drawing to PDF, Apple Preview, Adobe Acrobat and PDF Expert (Readdle) all state that the PDF can't open is damaged or appears to be a format that Preview doesn't recognize.  I have been exporting the PDF to my "Downloads" folder.

Please help.

Hi Adam,

Would it be possible for you to send me (christopher.miller@autodesk.com) that pdf?  Can you confirm (Help menu > About) what version of Fusion you're on?  We had an update today that bumped the version to 2.0.3125.  What OS are you on?  If you're on Mac is it the build installed from the Mac App Store or downloaded from Autodesk.com?  Does this affect all pdfs or just pdfs of certain drawings?  Have you been able to successfully output/open these same drawings to PDF in the past?

Thanks,

Chris
