Help creating a component from an exported step file of PCB

Hello, I am having trouble creating a modelling a hinge point to insert a PCB step into a model of an enclosure.

My PCB editor exports a step file of a PCB and all components on that PCB.

When I import the STEP file of the PCB I don't know how to convert it to single component so that I can create a hinge for it and insert into a modeled enclosure.

You can create a new component and drag all the other components in to it to make a sub assembly.

After you have all the components in the sub assembly I'd enable history to make it easier to edit your work. Make sure you follow Rule #1 and create components for each part, create your component and activate before working on components. See this thread for Rule#1.
