How to slow down a motion study?

I'm experimenting with a motion study, but even with the slider all the way to the left, it's still way too fast.

 

Is there a preference somewhere that I can set?

 

I'd also like more than 100 frames.  Any way to do that?

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to do that?

 

I don't really want to invest time in really learning Blender, but if it's not that difficult to do the equivalent of a motion study (but slower) from an existing F360 design, I want to give it a try.

I'm sure that Blender is great for those who have the time to learn all it's incredible animation features.

 

However, Blender is NOT a solution for this issue which is now over 8 years old. It may not be high on the priority list, but the fact that it's a recurring nightmare for many users is a good indicator that it needs to be resolved.

Great tip, but I'm struggling to see how this workaround applies to the animation of a Motion Study. Is there a similar text command to set the time for a Motion Study, like you demonstrated in your video for the Joint Animation duration?

I'm unsure if you have resolved this yet or not, but the study is a linear graph with an x and y axis. We can manipulate this by changing the step count, or the x, to a larger number. This creates a more gradual "slope" if it were an algebraic equation, thus slowing it down.

Greetings! I'd also like to request this feature, the motion study itself is good but WAY TOO FAST, can barely see what is happening even at the slowest setting. My workaround (if one caneven  call it that) was overloading my computer with a lot of stuff at the same time (Blender files with a lot of subdivision with Cycles enabled) so the motion study happens in a reasonable speed.

I submitted an idea to the idea station and it immediately got flagged as spam. Go figure.

I don't know how much they actually use that, but I'd say to whichever users are reading this and as frustrated with all of us, take a crack at submitting the idea or voting for a past one.

 

I agree, while I have also done a blender work around for this, the overhead even if you know what you are doing is a pain. Motion studies in fusion are seriously not far from where they need to be if they just added the 3 or 4 extra features we've been begging for here. I want the feature badly enough that I'd volunteer to do it for them for free if they let me into the back end since I have a software eng background  XD 

 

All that said. I'm not optimistic anything is going to happen in my lifetime since I don't see any financial incentives for them to fix this - big businesses tend to have a myopic world view with mildly popular products in their portfolio. After all, we are all still using fusion at the end of the day.
