How can I pattern along path of a revolve

Hello guys,

I am still quite new at fusion 360 and I am trying to design a lamp shade. I want to do horizontal round lines following the shape I made but the pattern on path seems like it's not working how I expected.  I do believe I am going into the wrong direction to build that.

Do you have any ideas on how I could do it?

First thing you need to do is attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. If needed, ZIP a F3Z file.

Is the attached model what you desire.  If so, you need 51 items to Combine them into one body.  If this is what you desire, I will explain it further if this is correct.

No this is what I can do but not the desired goal.

What I would like it to be is this shape: (following image) but with the rings following the shape (The middle rings for example would be larger than the top one).

I do believe i could just do a sketch with all the circles and then revolve but I do believe it is not the best way to do it.

Hi! I believe you are looking for a way to pattern the ring vertically but the rings resize according to the "revolved profile." Fusion Pattern does not support this behavior yet. There is a simple workaround. Create a patch surface based on the circular profile of the ring. Pattern the patch surface along the path. Then use Revolve command to create the rings.

Please take a look at the attached file.

Many thanks!

Wish I could give this one a "likes multiplier", I didn't even understand the problem description and you came up with an elegant solution.
