With the "depth of filed" enabled and the arrow icon underneath also enabled , indicated by the blue color, you should be able to click on an object in the viewport and see the green dot move to that pint.

its a mesh body. doesn't seem to be available for selecting.

@tomXMSG No, that cannot be changed. My suggestion for a workaround is to create a solid body in the spot you want to focus on and then select it in the render environment. Once you have the focal point set, you should be able to hide the object.
