Creating a thread...

Hi Everyone:  I've attached a file that I'm having trouble with creating an internal thread.  I imported the igs into Fusion 360 and created the hole (cylinder) in the center of the part and can't get the thread feature to work.

When I select create, thread, then try to select the hole, it won't allow me to, nothing happens.

What am I missing here?

Thanks.

Thanks for the video laughingcreek.

I tried to do the same thing, but it's not working.

I hit create sketch, then right click on sketch 1, hit edit sketch, my part moves to the top view.  When I try to create an arc like you did, it doesn't work.

Yeah, the screen cast might be a little hard to follow.  I didn't actually hit "create Sketch" to start with, (even though I did pass the mouse over it).  I went straight to "edit sketch" for sketch 1.  after that I hit "C" on the keyboard to start the circle command.  slected the center point and drug out the circle.

Success, thank you for the further explanation, worked like a charm.

I appreciate everyone that helped, I now have a model and was able to modify it accordingly.

The final thing I'm hoping to get some help with is title blocks.  In post #7 of this thread is what I'm looking for:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/how-to-import-drawing-template-into-fusion...

I like the one in post #7 because it has a tolerance box and the ability to insert a picture.  Looking for something like that one, not sure if anyone has something similar or if that one is downloadable somewhere?
