Create a cutlist from an imported STEP file.

Is there a simple way to pull the material length data (bounding box data) from a Solidworks native .STEP file? I've converted the bodies to components which allows them to be individually identified on the parts list under the drawing page although the parts table avaliable options are useuless. 

I don't want to be adjusting each components properties.

As a 'get by' method, I've downloaded the .SVG BOM Creator extension.

Its a little messy but does the job.
