Link Distances

Hi,

I am setting up a dynamic block and I would like two distances to be linked to a third.

The first two distances need to be 1/4 of the third (overall) distance. Objects would then be linked to these points so that they are always placed at 1/4 span of the overall span - regardless of it's length.

Is this possible in dynamic blocks? So far I have only used dynamic blocks for basic uses.

Thanks,

One of several possibilities is using parametric constraints.

Not got full autocad here, but it sounds like you need to look at parametric constraints

That appears to be exactly what I was trying to do.

Thanks

You can do the same without parametric constraints
