Hi Tim,

I just couldn't get it to work.  I feel that if I had redrawn, maybe it would start working correctly, but who has the time.  Thanks for the hatch boundary tip though, I will totally attempt to implement that in the future.

I work for a Millwork shop that collaborates with a few high-level architects, so our shop drawings have been used as design tools lately, and I am trying to take some of the mystery out of the linework with shading and hatching.

Hi all,

Not a block that many of you would use, but it uses more than one array to array poly-iso sheet sizes (4'x8') and also the layout of composite shear ties for insulated concrete walls.  We have quite a number of dynamic blocks made, and this one is pretty simple but very effective in layout of foam drawing for manufacturing of precast wall panels.  Enjoy!!

Here is a radius elbow commonly used in HVAC duct drawings.

I added the steps I used to create it as it uses constraints which tend to be troublesome in dynamic blocks (at least for me :))

Hope someone finds this useful

Here is an adjustable person and chair.

These are handy for monitor or room large screen viewing verification setups.

Hope folks find these useful and save them some time.

Best Regards

I created this weld symbol that has a little bit of everything. It also uses 4 lookup parameters instead of one visibility parameter to easily change between visibility states as I have 96 total visibility states.

Hello,

I have used the "double lookup" system you used for multiple visibility states for this weld symbols block and applied it to my own weld symbol block and I'm having a problem with it. It seems to work properly except for the default visibility states for each of the four lookup tables is set to "custom". I see on your block that "custom" doesn't show up when testing the block and clicking on the lookup buttons. Do you know what I am doing wrong? I've attached my block file for analysis.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Michael

I'm not at my computer at the moment and can't take a look at your block, but I'm 95% confident that I know what your problem is (it's more of an extra step rather than you doing something wrong). Close block editor...change each drop-down from custom to the default option you want for your block (1-1-1-1, 1-1-1-2, etc whatever you want just get it off custom)...save and close the drawing...open it back up and the custom at the bottom of each drop-down should be gone. I've had this on multiple blocks and this fixed it every time. Note: if you add more visibility states to the block I think you will have to repeat this process

Here is one I created to show, in plan, the real OD of multiple types of PVC & RCP pipe to check clearances while also being able to see internal diameters. I didn't make a video, but it can be reverse draft-gineered pretty easily.

Features include:

- rotate

- stretch

- lookup table

Sometimes as they say "The Devils are in the Details"

Hopefully folks will find a set that will become useful in tier everyday work.

Many of the plan view north arrows have subtle differences ( I was on roll so just kept creating) hopefully a style will catch your eye.

And there are a couple notice icons included too.

I have included the named plot styles I use so you can see what the PDF plotted output was intended to be.

As Always, Best Regards

Tim

Hi everyone, I am looking for a plan level, floor elevation, top of concrete elevation or finish floor level. I need something similar to easy control and edit as a dynamic block. Thank you in advance.

@Anonymous  Can you post a drawing with the linework you want and show what you want it to do? Not everyone here is an architect so not sure what you are looking for.

Hello Ayman...

Just wanted to point out that this thread is meant for users to post their
work...not for requests. Honestly, I'm not sure if there is a forum here
for such things...so I'd suggest contacting drafters (CAD operators)
directly. I'm sure there are those out there who would be happy to develop
your symbol library for you (for compensation, of course) 😉

Good luck!

Here are a few light fixtures.

I am calling them 95%.

Any feedback would be welcome as it will be a bit before I can run them through their paces in a project.

Thanks In Advance
