Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the Community Feedback Hub and thank you for joining us here to provide your insights!

In this open thread, we invite you to share your great ideas to improve our Communities, features you’d love to see, share event ideas, etc. Please feel free to share any topic, that you do not see already in the Feedback Hubthat you think should be there.

Please note that this thread is for feedback on the Community, not for product feedback.

We’ll be looking out for popular topics and common issues, and we’ll promote those to their own thread for a deeper conversation as needed

Your input is so valuable to help us keep improving our Communities—so please take the opportunity to share your feedback with us!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas. And, please feel free to tag me, or any other Community Manager in your posts.

Wishing you the best,

Tiana.D

I'm not seeing this. >>About davidpbest - Autodesk Community<<

Can you provide link to a specific example?

your not even replying or commenting on half the Ideas boards, the most asked for and voted features are simply ignored
Autodesk would have to have one of the worst customer community / user interactions team on the planet
banging my head against a brick wall would have more chance of getting things fixed at autodesk than trying to navigate the Knowledge Network
In 30+ years of using autodesk products, i dont think they have provided me with ANY usable support
I have had to figure things out and then Bam it appears on the forums like you guys came up with the answer, luckily people like JDMathers and Mr Wolfe understand  your products better than your own development and support teams, without these power users providing feedback and solutions to you for free ... hang on we pay plenty of deneros to you guys to provide us with functioning software, but you give us half arsed attempts and broken tools and bunch of bugs that we then fix or troubleshoot for you.
Autodesk would not have a single viable product that could compete in the market place without these boards and the NON AUTODESK people who actually make them worth at.

@pendean At one point last week I had to log in again. Since then my icon issue has been resolved. But how would one sign out if you can't access the Ctrl - Rt Clk menu from the icon?

Let's try embedding a Screencast.

Nope that doesn't work.

Looks like it will work - let's click the Insert.

Preview after Insert looks good.

But nope.  HTML error.

Getting a screencast to embed is harder to get work than most of my actual CAD related problems. haha

So strange!

Also didn't realize TheCADWhisperer and JDMather were one in the same. Like Batman and Bruce Wayne

@Tiana_Y

Of what use in this "Open Thread".

It seems to attract a series of comments that should have their own threads rather that be lost in the large number of postings.

Hi @ROakley_Trility

I am sorry to hear about your experience with support. I am happy to hear that some of our Community all-stars have been able to assist you in the past, with this modality being Community-based, it is always nice to hear our members are being so helpful. On the topic of product-specific feedback, we have heard the Community feedback on how these modalities (idea stations, etc.) aren't reaching your expectations, and internally we are revisiting the way this feedback is received.

Wishing you the best,

Tiana.D

Hi @hfcandrew

@CGBenner - I believe Meshmixer is part of D&M could you look into this?

Thanks!

@Tiana_Y @madeline.butcher One big issue is the never ending icon loading. Mine was fixed when I had to login again. But in a classic "Catch 22". You can't sign-out if the icon isn't loaded.

Is there a way to logout without using the icon?

Also. I believe the Account Options available from the icon used to be accessed with a right-click. Now it's a Ctrl+click. Is that by design?

OOPS. It works with just a click.

My two cents:

  • Links should be underlined by default.
  • Attaching .pat (hatch pattern) or .ctb (plot style table) files should be allowed.
  • There's no Lisp, VBA or .NET language option when inserting code sample.
