Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the Community Feedback Hub and thank you for joining us here to provide your insights!
In this open thread, we invite you to share your great ideas to improve our Communities, features you’d love to see, share event ideas, etc. Please feel free to share any topic, that you do not see already in the Feedback Hub, that you think should be there.
Please note that this thread is for feedback on the Community, not for product feedback.
We’ll be looking out for popular topics and common issues, and we’ll promote those to their own thread for a deeper conversation as needed.
Your input is so valuable to help us keep improving our Communities—so please take the opportunity to share your feedback with us!
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas. And, please feel free to tag me, or any other Community Manager in your posts.
Wishing you the best,
Tiana.D
Hi!.. This one took a little research. I have to admit that, while I had heard the name, I was not very familiar with MeshMixer. Here is what I was able to fine, from September of this year: (more in the link...)

Thanks.
However what I was getting at is that there actually is a forum for it. Its just under Netfabb instead of on its own or under Fusion360.
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/netfabb/ct-p/980
If you couldn't find it, others surely have issues too, effecting community involvement or also I often see Meshmixer related posts under the wrong forum.
Feels like the wrong place for it.
@hfcandrew
Agreed,... I'm doing a little deeper digging to see if I can find the board owner. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I have ongoing technical issue with the Forum, but nowhere to post it anymore.
I am unable to post here, in "The New Community Hub"? Yes, clicking [Post to Forums] button simply spits out this:
... even I am able to post Maya forum.
I came to CF for help, because my user-logo keeps rolling infinitely (see image), can't access my profile through it. What shall I do?
In more general scope, @Tiana_Y wrote to everyone recently:
We know that the previous Community Feedback Boards didn’t work. They left a lot of feedback unanswered, and loops weren’t getting closed. You didn’t have a constructive outlet to provide feedback on our Autodesk Communities. We’re fixing that here.
Isn't that not the idea of Community Feedback Boards did not take off, rather the technical state of the ENTIRE Autodesk Forum is a malfunction for years? After that much ado without a fix, it gradually becomes even harder to avoid being [whatever you name it] hopeless/sarcastic.
How is the CFHub better than former CF board on the top of the list? As to me, this CFH is even worse, as you have locked all the topics in the former CF board and removed posting button too, still keeping it there with no comments. How thoughtful was that, seriously?

Hello hamsterHamster.
We needed to focus on the topics our team manages and to focus on responding and closing loops and encouraging feedback on active projects, initiatives, and ideas we are researching on the community platform. At times the old feedback board would have posts that were product-related or many posts for many varied topics and it just wasn't possible to maintain and meet a level of response and ou team owning each topic through closure.
We hope you will give the new hub and our expressed commitment to providing responses and you will also provide feedback on the active feedback requests.
Thank you,
Shaan

I've had this error, and reported it, the last two times I attempted to add a screencast.

Uhm, moderator simply move to appropriate product forum.
Problem solved.
I’ve seen this solution used hundreds of times. (See lower right area of this reply for the Report button.)
(I just Reported one yesterday over on the Fusion forums and noticed that it was moved to correct forum this morning.)
I find it rather dismaying that you think this hub will solve the stated reasons for change.
It is up to moderators to see that questions are redirected to appropriate forums when users don’t.
It is up to moderators to see that loops are closed.
Check out the Inventor Forum and the fine job that @johnsonshiue does.
Check out the Fusion Forum and the fine job that @jeff_strater does.
@shaan.hurley therefore, you (not you personally, I hope) just closed old CF section, so that people now are posting various problem reports in one thread as comments, mishmash with other subjects. What a brilliant idea!!!!
NOT.
I'd strongly agree with @JDMather - since when moderation became a problem? Moderation is supposed to be an active stance, not waiting for reports to come - e.g. in Maya Forum, Dynamics Subforum gets those BiFrost threads, while we have there solely BiFrost-dedicated Subforum. Those obviously doesn't belong to there, but it still there they are. Numerous examples of this alike.
If your team doesn't have a capacity of doing that, then, key, hand some of those moderation rights to the Forum regulars (Ranking, any good of it?) - I can't imagine better way of building healthy Community, in a place of current nontransparent sheep herding approach. I am willing to participate.

This open thread is for issues that can be reported on the community platform and programs, for follow-up and investigation, and updates.

If you have feedback on the Feedback Hub platform process, please always feel welcome to contact me directly.
Thank you,

JD,
Feel free to contact me directly. Having moderators move messages from the wrong forum instead of setting clear expectations on the purpose of this forum is what we had in mind. This forum isn't for product feedback, it is for the community team initiatives and platform.

Hi friends,
One rather annoying interaction that should (hopefully) be a fairly easy fix: When I accept a solution, I immediately get the email "A topic you're following has an accepted solution..." No duh, I was the one who accepted it. ![]()
Like many of us, I'm sure, I deal with an ever increasing volume of email. The result of this interaction is that I've disabled these types of notifications for now, but I would prefer to re-enable them and not get emails notifying me of something that I myself did.
Thanks!
Files of the format *.ide are native Autodesk Inventor Professional iFeature files.
Cannot attach *.ide files directly - must zip them first.
With regards to the Autodesk Forums, Autodesk employees have been more active, in the past year or so, trying to help out, at least in the Civil 3D forum.
Some of them started out a little over zealous, posting on each topic asking whether the issue had been solved generating unnecessary email notifications, but they have been doing a pretty good job lately.
One thing that has started lately in the civil 3d forum is an Autodesk employee creating a topic which contains links to unanswered posts for the last week - I find this is helpful to bring unanswered questions to the attention of users who can help out.
With regards to this feedback hub topic - I find it hard to fathom how you are going to track posts and provide solutions when all posts are lumped into one topic only posted by date. As others have suggested, I would have thought a better approach would have been to have moderators be more active and deal with posts that were not appropriate to the forums/threads.
Seems like the Forums were not broken.
Just the people assigned to moderate them were not the right people for the job (in most cases)
How about you drop the model where support is supplied by the reseller and actually provide an Autodesk support portal with a team of qulified techs moderating ... Bit of a no brainer really, I mean if my home PC has a windows error, I contact windows support not u-mart or harvey norman, let the sellers do there pretty marketing BS and let the tech people work together to provide us with a functioning tool that has online support readily available from respected power user peers and trained autodesk professional support techs through a managed forum.
The current system of raising tickets with our reseller (and lets face it 1 out of every 100 reseller support techs are awesome, the rest are useless at best, the amount of times the muppets have sent me my own solution that i posted on the forum to me as if they are helping is embarrassing for autodesk to say the least)
new version came out more than a week ago
the notification of an update is not working
so many updates for BIM due to its infancy, need to get this sorted Autodesk, your update deployment and notification system is even worse than your historically piss poor forum and support managment.
Embarrassing for a software company trying to be leaders in technology.
maybe get the basics right before spending all your effort on bells and whistles (that dont actually provide a function other than to catch the eyes of non tech managers).
@shaan.hurley How can I unsubscribe this thread? Since I posted here, I keep receiving notifications about the topics irrelevant to me. Also, I cannot access my profile (rolling user icon issue) to see if there is an option to unsubscribe this specific thread and keep receiving other notifications. Clicked Subscribe and then Unsubscribe, no changes.
