Use one Schedule more than one way.
When placing a schedule on a sheet, we generally expect to see what is in the schedule in the other views on that sheet. To that end, we would duplicate a schedule as many times as necessary to be able to filter the schedule for the views it would be serving.
For example, window or door schedules were often duplicated to filter them by level. Then the floor plan for a level could be placed on a sheet, and the schedules for those levels could be added to those sheets. That process goes away starting in Revit 2023.
Here are two sheets with two different level plans but with the same schedule on the sheet with them.
Back to the schedule on the Filter tab, there is a new check box. This Filter by sheet check box will only show the items in the schedule that are present on the sheet.
There is a significant decrease in the schedule size. One schedule, many sheets. This saves so much time and allows better use of the database that is in Revit.
Schedule some time to try this one out.
