At Autodesk, we continuously invest in improving how you access our products - balancing ease of use, security, and reliability. As part of this effort, you can now sign in to your Autodesk account using trusted third-party providers like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple, whether you’re creating a new account or using an existing one. These options give you more flexibility in how you authenticate while maintaining the same security, privacy, and account experience.
Why We’re Expanding Authentication Options
Across the industry, federated authentication has become a widely adopted standard. It reduces friction for users while enabling stronger security controls through trusted identity providers.
By supporting additional sign-in options, we aim to simplify account access and onboarding, while reducing dependency on passwords and using the built-in security of trusted identity platforms.
Benefits for Users
Improved Sign-In Experience
Users will be able to:
-
Sign in using accounts they already use and trust across other products
-
Avoid managing additional passwords
-
Access Autodesk services more quickly
-
Experience a smoother sign-up and sign-in process
Reduced Password Fatigue
Password-related issues—such as reuse, resets, and lockouts—are a common source of friction and risk across digital platforms. Offering federated sign-in options helps:
-
Minimize password reuse
-
Reduce failed sign-in attempts
-
Lower support requests related to password recovery
Support for Existing and New Autodesk Users
This capability is designed to work for:
-
New users, who can create an Autodesk account using a supported identity provider
-
Existing users, who will have the option to link their existing Autodesk account to one or more supported sign-in providers
User accounts, data, and subscriptions remain unchanged. you’re simply adding more ways to sign in.
Signing In with Your Organization (Enterprise SSO)
- Enter your work or school email address on the Autodesk sign-in page
- If your organization has SSO configured, you’ll be securely redirected to your organization’s sign-in page to complete authentication
- After successful authentication, you’ll be returned to Autodesk and signed in as usual
Using Third-Party Sign-In with Enterprise SSO
If you use your company email to sign in through a third-party option (such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple), you will be redirected to your organization’s sign-in page.
You’ll need to authenticate using your organization’s credentials (organization's email & password) to access your Autodesk account.
Privacy and Data Protection
Autodesk does not receive or store passwords from third-party identity providers. Only the information required to authenticate the user is exchanged, in accordance with Autodesk’s privacy and security policies.
A more flexible way to access Autodesk products
This update gives you more choice in how you sign in, without changing your account or how you work.
Whether you prefer a password, SSO, or a third-party provider, you can now choose the option that fits best.
