Model/paper space differences despite the same annotation scale

Anonymous

Hi,

I have to prepare a longitudinal section drawings for ditches. I put together a file with longsections and file which include labels for those sections. All is in scale 1:250, so annotation scale been applied to model and paper space. In the model space everything is fine, but in the paper space viewport, file with the labels is around 5mm off the original position. In the model tab is still ok. I could not find the answer anywhere, so I had to exploded and drop everything in one file.

If anybody came across this problem earlier or know the answer how to resolve it, please let me know.

Hi Rafal,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
"...around 5mm off the original position."
A screen shot of the problem would help. Or maybe post your drawing.

DWG sample file with the problem please.

Also, to post pictures or share files you actually have to come to the website and reply: doing anything like that in your email software is not going to post here (anti-spam measures).

Rafal,
Screenshots OK now. And thanks for posting your drawings. Trying to repair broken references, and I don't have "dref-ditch corridors.dwg". So I'm missing the Profile View:

Hi,

Missing file should be in the folder of the uploaded zip file. Once you unpack zip file there should be folder B4 Sketches and the file is there - just linking missing file to that folder.  Hope that help.

I have noticed also if you have both referenced and you insert/bind them into main file they will "switch" in the model space like you can see on the image related to paper space.

Rafal,
I have 3 drawings:
B4 Sketches folder >> Railhead-MCJ4-New basin.dwg
Railhead NEW-2021 May folder >> ACAD-Railhead-MCJ4-New basin-Text-Model.dwg
Problematic Annotation scale.dwg

Rafal,
OK, I was not matching up things correctly in the Xref Window. I'm now seeing what you're seeing.

Dave,

Main file is Problematic Annotation scale.dwg

and two external references (xrefs) linked to the main file.

You can find those xrefs in the folders.

1. Railhead-MCJ4-New basin.dwg

2. ACAD-Railhead-MCJ4-New basin-Text-Model.dwg

File Problematic Annotation scale.dwg was eTransmited, so references are automatically put in the folder and zipped.

Once you unzip the file, you can see main file and xrefs packed in the folders.

I have checked that on my computer and worked.

Rafal,
At first I was thinking >>>This<<< was the problem. But now I doubt this is a Linetype Scale Issue. I'm baffled. I sure don't see anything obvious.

Rafal,
I think this is the problem. Try changing this from 5 to 4:

Sounds like you are trying to cut and paste to the post

You have to save print screen local then use the forum interface to upload.

Also, what is the printed height of the annotation set to in the style composer / PS height for annotative text
