Grip issues with Civil 3D (and Map 3D) 2018

This is more of an FYI because it's a known issue on the Map 3D forum (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-map-3d-forum/grips-bug-with-map-3d-2018/m-p/7028919/highlight...).  But as you can see it's happening in Civil 3D 2018 as well.  In this video I cannot add multiple vertices to a polyline in Civil 3D 2018:

So if the updates have fixed this since way back when, why am I having this issue today at a new job using Civil3D 2018? I have confirmed all the available updates are installed on this PC. The hot fix is no longer available either...

dfralick07,

I am on 2019 now and don't have issues - not that upgrading is or should be the answer.

I just tried the link to the to the hot fix and it failed for me too - that stinks...

I probably downloaded that puppy, I will look for it tomorrow at work and if I have it, could forward if you want.

...hope that's not against Autodesk policy, eh?

Same issue in C3D 2018.  smithcorey or anyone else have the hotfix still?

Thanks!

The solution for this has disappeared or rather the link has stopped working.  Do you still have the hotfix somewhere that you could share?  Thanks

@Anonymous , @rgraham , @jennifer.googins ,
The Map2018Hotfixgrip HotFix can be downloaded from >>>Here<<<. I've also attached it to this post.

Edit: Forgot to add instructions.

1. Close all instances of AutoCAD
2. Download the hotfix and extract the ZIP file to somewhere you can open it
3. Go to this folder C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2018\Map
4. Rename the file AcMapFeatureEntityUI.arx to AcMapFeatureEntityUI.bak to ensure you can recover it if needed.
5. Place the new arx file you have just downloaded into the folder
6. Launch AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D

Dave Stoll - thank you!

...yes Jennifer and Robert, I still had a copy and would've shared this evening but had been at an office holiday function and didn't see this till now.

Glad to know there is another link out there that is still valid!!

Take care everyone, happy holidays

Corey

Does anyone know where I can get these updates now? My autodesk account only shows products back to 2019.
