Hi,
With AutoCAD Map 3D 2018 FR, a new bug has appears. It concern the grips use with several objects.
I post you a video to show the bug with an arc, but there is also some (different) problems with polylines (context menu does not appears after the first change), multi-lines, splines, and perhaps some other objects.
This problem does'nt exist with Map 3D 2017 FR and also not with AutoCAD 2018 FR.
I don't know if other language versions of Map 3D 2018 have the default.
I hope it will be solved ASAP.
Cheers.
Thierry

Hi,
>> I don't know if other language versions of Map 3D 2018 have the default.
I don't see that issue with AutoCAD Map 3D 2018 English (on German Windows 10 x64)
Maybe you can try the same with another template file?

Hello "The Froggy"
+1 with Alfred !
1) No problem with ACAD MAP 2018 US/English Beta !
2) Maybe you could try (if it's possible) to replace the French DLL(s) by the US/English DLL(s)
BUT if the problem is on many different entity types ! I doubt !!
3) I use this method on ACAD MAP 2011 (Replacing French by US/English DLLs) for a major bug (NEVER corrected by Autodesk) with the Grips on MPOLYGONs !
4) So waiting ...

Hello,
thank you all for the heads up. This issue is forwarded to be solved code wise.
As a workaround, please deselect the arc in between, the issue appears in the video and on my side after stretching the vertex a second time.
Please have a look at the video for the workaround: http://autode.sk/2pAgHXR
Best regards,
Thomas
Hi,
am I the only one, who does not have the problem?
In that case maybe the difference is that I have installed AutoCAD as well as AutoCAD Map 3D (and later Civil 3D too).
just my 2c, if that can help the development team ...

Hello,
No Alfred, your are not the only one.
But I think at this time there is no rule to know if it will work correctly or not.
We have a machine with AutoCAD + AutoCAD Map 3D on Windows 7 that has not the problem, but another machine with same AutoCAD + Map and also on Windows 7 has the problem.
Two machines with only Map on Windows 10 doesn't have the problem where several other on Windows 7 has it.
Perhaps it depends of Windows version or of what is already installed...
Cheers
Hello Alfred
1) So you have ACAD 2018, ACAD MAP 2018, ACAD CIVIL 2018
- ALL in US/English, I presume ?? or German ?? or a MIX ??
2) Please in which order did you install these 3 softwares ?

Hi,
>> So you have ACAD 2018, ACAD MAP 2018, ACAD CIVIL 2018
>> ALL in US/English, I presume ?? or German ?? or a MIX ??
Well, I do have a lot more software on that system
>> Please in which order did you install these 3 softwares ?
Always from old to new, and from less functionality to most functionality.
So I started with AutoCAD 2014 .. 2015 .. 2016 (first AutoCAD, then Map3D, then Civil3D) .. 2017 (first AutoCAD, then Map3D, then Civil3D) then 2018 (first AutoCAD, then Map3D, then Civil3D)
Map3D 2018 was the only software which I did not install by first using browser-download and then install from local files, Map3D 2018 was installed by Autodesk Desktop App.
All sitting on top of Windows 10 x64 (1607) German + nVidia GTX 970M (driver version 376.74)

@Thomas_Stuehle, just an FYI there is a similar grip issue with polylines as well, and both issues (the one in your video and mine) are happening in Civil 3D as well.
Check out this video:
Hi,
Can't reproduce that issue with multigrip function "add-vertex".
My video is attached.

@Alfred.NESWADBA. . .very interesting. I just tested in my Map 3D 2018 (same build) again to make sure I'm not crazy and I have the issue. I had several co-workers test as well and they all have the same issue as I do in my video.
So what's different? I've not modified anything except the black background on my end. I see you have some toolbars. Did you happen to migrate your workspace forward? I wondering if that somehow migrated the code forward.
Hi,
>> I see you have some toolbars.
Yep, own additional applications, but not loaded at this state.
>> Did you happen to migrate your workspace forward?
I never use migration
>> So what's different?
I'm working with Window 10 Enterprise, 64bit, German
My main customizations are
- alfred -
I too don't ever migrate my settings. I don't see how your customizations may effect the gripping. I'm on a Windows 8.1, 64-bit system.
I used your ARG file and I got the same results. . .I still can't add multiple vertices.
jporter, I am in the same boat as your screencast. I will get the context menu for editing a grip once, and then after I use it once, I have to escape to remove the selection, and then re-select the polyline, at which point I can complete an "add vertex" etc., but again, only once.
I am on Windows 10 64bit, using Civil 3D 2018 with no modifications or migrated settings.

It's a month later. We've just upgraded to C3d 2018, and found this bug.
This is a massive nuisance. I use the grips menu all the time and having to escape between each edit is a PITA.
Is there any chance that Autodesk may fix this bug?
C3d 2018 (Ribbon off, toolbars on, cuix imported from 2017, previously imported into 2017 from 2016 etc), Win7 pro.
Has there been any progress on this? I'm having issues I'm assuming are related to where if I select more than one object, MOST of the grips won't show up, I don't get a menu on hover and if I grab a grip it acts like snap is on when it's not.
