Trouble with pdf exporting

I am getting back into drawing after a 12-155 year hyatus. I have never inported .pdf's t work on and then tried to export.  Everything is great on the importing, re-scaling, and working with the layers to make them reaable. BUT when I export the files thay are useless. I have a 7/8" diameter red dot I draw for rebar and it looks like a large red baketball on the pdf. the lines are to heavy and the text is unreadable.  Other than that, everything is fine! 😕 I could use some help. In the meanwhile I will continue experimenting. If I can't get the documents back to a usabkle pdf file I am wasting my time.

Thanks for your help.

We can't see what you see: can you share your source DWG file PLUS the PDF with the issues here please?

We have Acrobat Pro in the office. I found that it worked great when I
plotted it to Acrobat .pdf. Thanks for your time to respond.

Thank You, I resolved my problem by plotting it to Adobe pdf instead of
exporting the file to pdf. Thank you for your response.
